Privacy policy

Last updated 28 September 2026

The short version

  • You don't make an account, and we never ask for your name, email or photo.
  • Your game progress is saved on your phone, not on our computers.
  • We ask the year you were born, but only keep whether you're under 13, 13 to 15, or 16 and over, and only on your phone.
  • Adverts come from Google. Players under 16 only get adverts that aren't based on what they do online.
  • If you buy Gold Bolts, the app store takes the payment. We never see card details.
  • You can ask us about your information or ask us to delete it at any time.

Who we are

Pocket Paddock is made by CRMN Tech Ltd, a company registered in Scotland (company number SC704479). We are the controller of the personal information described here. You can contact us about privacy at crmn.tech@hotmail.com. Our registered office address is listed on Companies House.

Information kept on your device

Your progress (money, Gold Bolts, upgrades, liveries, race results and settings) is saved in the app on your device. It is never sent to us. If your device backs up app data, for example Android backup to your Google account or an iPhone backup, the save is included in that backup under the device maker's own privacy terms. Deleting the app deletes the save from the device.

The age question

When you first open the game we ask for your year of birth. We don't keep the year. We only keep your age group (under 13, 13 to 15, or 16 and over), on your device, and use it to choose safe advert settings. The age group itself is not sent to anyone, but the advert settings it selects are included in requests to Google, as described below.

Adverts (Google AdMob)

The game offers optional adverts that you can choose to watch for a free upgrade. They are provided by Google AdMob, which starts when the game opens. To show, count and protect adverts from fraud, Google receives information such as your IP address, device type and settings, app version, and how you interact with adverts.

  • Under 13: every advert request is marked as directed at a child and limited to content suitable for general audiences. Google does not show these players personalised adverts, and we do not ask children for advertising consent.
  • 13 to 15: adverts are not personalised and are limited to content suitable for general audiences.
  • 16 and over: in the UK, the EEA and Switzerland, Google's consent form asks whether adverts may be personalised and whether information may be stored on your device. You can change your answer at any time with the Ad privacy button at the bottom of the game. Elsewhere, adverts may be personalised using your device's advertising ID, which you can reset or delete in your device settings. On iPhone, the game asks your permission first.

Google uses this information as described in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and the Google Privacy Policy.

In-app purchases (Gold Bolts)

Gold Bolts are bought through Google Play or the Apple App Store, which handle the payment under their own privacy policies. We never receive your name, email address or card details.

To check each purchase is genuine and deliver your Gold Bolts, we use RevenueCat, Inc. RevenueCat receives a random ID created for your copy of the app, the store's purchase receipt (product, price, currency, store country and date), basic device and app details, and your IP address. See the RevenueCat Privacy Policy.

Purchases are made by the owner of the store account. Parents can control or block purchases with Google Play parental controls or Family Link, or Apple's Ask to Buy.

What we don't do

Pocket Paddock has no accounts, chat or social features. It does not use your location, contacts, photos, camera or microphone. We do not use analytics tools, and we do not sell your information.

Why we use your information (lawful basis)

  • Delivering purchases: to perform our contract with you.
  • Personalised adverts, and storing advertising information on the device of players 16 and over in the UK and EEA: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
  • Non-personalised and child-directed adverts, fraud prevention and keeping the game working: our legitimate interest in funding a free game, balanced against your privacy by the protections above.
  • Keeping purchase records: our legal obligations, such as tax and accounting rules.

Where information goes and how long it is kept

Google, Apple and RevenueCat may process information outside the UK, including in the United States. They protect it with approved safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum and Standard Contractual Clauses. Purchase records are kept for as long as needed to provide your Gold Bolts and meet tax and accounting rules (normally six years). Advert data is kept by Google under its own retention policies. Everything saved on your device stays until you delete the app or its data.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask for a copy of your information, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict how it is used, and withdraw consent. Email crmn.tech@hotmail.com. Because we don't know who you are, we may need your store purchase receipt to find your records. A parent or guardian can make a request for their child.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.

Children

Pocket Paddock is made for players of all ages, including children. We designed it to collect as little as possible, and players under 16 get the highest privacy settings by default. If you are a parent and think your child's information should be deleted, please contact us.

Changes to this policy

If we change how the game uses information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
